Bhanu Choudhrie is a British-Indian businessman and philanthropist. He is also the founder and president of C&C Alpha Group and currently has worldwide investments in hospitality, banking, healthcare, real estate, and utilities. A prominent philanthropist in his field, Mr. Choudhrie is devoted to improving the conditions of the less fortunate in India and around the world. As such, he supports organizations such as the Suvarna Achutha Foundation and International Rescue Committee.
Mr. Bhanu Choudhrie is originally from the state of Tamil Nadu in India. He received a degree in law at the University of Birmingham where he began his career as a practicing attorney. Later in life, he established small family business in Mumbai and then took over C&C Alpha Group which is now one of the leading management program companies in India. In recent years, Bhanu Choudhrie has been on the Oprah Winfrey Show and CNN’s daytime talk show. He has also created his own magazine called India After Sunset. An executive director for C&C Alpha Group, Choudhrie is also an entrepreneur and an executive consultant at Global Resorts Network, one of the most prestigious resorts in India.
One of Bhanu Choudhrie’s passions is improving the conditions for those who are less fortunate than himself. As such, he has created several philanthropic organizations and projects in India and abroad, including one in the United Kingdom called Venture for a Better India. Bhanu Choudhrie earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the Indian Institute of Technology in Bangalore, India. Before he started with C&C Alpha Group, Bhanu Choudhrie worked at Hilton Hotel and The Fairmont Resort and Spa in Beverly Hills, California. Following his success in India, Choudhrie went to work for the United Kingdom’s outsourcing giant, McKinsey, and then worked with the United States Department of Defense on projects in the defense industry.
